This is not a kill story first off... Had one of these harrassing me the other night. It was blue with some huge 20+ chrome wheels on it... clean. Don't think he had a Hemi because it didn't have the little "HEMI" emblem above the side molding. Not even an SXT with the 250hp V6. (again no emblem) He rode next to me for like 2-3 blocks looking over at me. I just waved, wasn't sure what he was working with at the time. But, now that I've researched the specs on it, I think I could've taken him.

2.7-liter V6 24-valve engine
multi-point fuel injection
produces 190 horsepower at 5,800 RPM
190 pounds-feet of torque at 4,850 RPM
Curb weight 3804 lbs + the huge 20 inch chrome anvils and 1 passenger...

1995 Civic EX Coupe 125hp
5-speed manual and yes, I can shift :-)
Curb Weight 2443 lbs? + 17 inch aluminum wheels, no passengers

Assuming it was actually the base model with no performance mods, what do you guys think?

BTW... It sucks being in a stock Civic... :D

I guarantee you would have taken him. But its a good thing that you didnt race I guess.

debadging is very popular mod for those cars...and even with the 3.5, it will give you a run...if it was a 2.7, yuck...you could take him with an EX auto...i had one for a rental for a while, great car to drive long distances..veyr comfortable, alot of room, but that thing was a PIG..it wouldnt spin the tires in the snow.

Yeah, I was wondering if it may have been debadged or not. But still yet, I didn't even know what the base model specs were at the time. Maybe next time.... [sm=badbadbad.gif] Shortly after that I had a few flybys from a Ford Focus with a spaceship bodykit. I must really be getting old. I remember the day I would never have turned down a challenge even if I knew it would blow my doors off.:)

it wont spin the tires in the snow 'cause its got traction control --- but i knewa guy who had 1 with a hemi & u pull out the fuse for traction control & it did a 4wd burnout ---funny as hell

only a select few are AWD, and i worked at the dealership which sold the exact car that i rented from enterprise, to enterprise, and i was being sarcastic about it not spinning the tires in snow...it was, however, great in the snow...i was just trying to make the point that for a vehicle of its size the 2.7 was FAR too small...i think that my turbo daytona with a bad turbo would outrun the magnum that i had...

and i also wont turn down a challenge, unless i know that not racing will piss the other guy off more than my not racing will make me feel old...:D
