I have a 92 honda civic lx with a D15B7 engine. I want to do an engine swap, i'm looking for something in the 160 hp range. I have been looking at the B16's and some B18's. As well my i have an automatic transmission that i want to swap out for a manual one. Turbo is an option that i'm considering. With this in mind i was wondering what people would suggest on getting. Thanks for the help

If you do a swap, I'll buy your motor.

Are you serious, what do you want a motor that has 260K on it. Tell me its for parts

Uh huh. Where you at?

But you are right, the B16 has 160Hp. It's a really popular swap. Got a couple grand layin around?

I'm probably a little far from you, I'm in Ottawa Ontario Canada. I dont have a couple of grand lying around right now but in the near future i will have some money, and i'm defiantley going to swap that engine out for something with much more power. I really just wanna tear up the streets

Ya, then the mounties wouldn't be able to catch you.

Do you guys really have moose wander through your yards?

I'll trade you an alligator for a moose.

wow....

Anywho, B16's, and b18's seem to be the favorites round here. Either of those will put you in your hp goal range.

The importer I recommend to a lot of people is Sunrise JDM, and they're located in Quebec. You might want to check them out. SIR-I B16A for $1199 USD.

I am in the process of finishing up my swap. But it is not cheap. I have spent quite a bit already although I opted for some upgraded parts also. are you doing the swap yourself or is a shop going to do it for you. I didnt really have the time to do it myself so I had a shop do it. I would say in general a swap can cost from 3-5k to get done. depending on cost of motor, parts needed for install and labor. it was 800 for labor to throw mine in and 2700 for my gsr motor plus some other minor expenses (that add up).
