Product: DC Sport 4-2-1 one piece ceramic headers.
Distributor: ebay
Vehicle: Honda Civic 92-95 (DX/EX/LX/SI), Honda Civic 96-00 EX Only, Honda Del Sol 93-97 SOHC.
Cost: Since it was ebay, $255 shipped. other sites will run from about $270-$300+.
Installation: It was very easy. Need socket renches and may need WD-40 for rusted bolts.
Installation time: took about 30-45mins to jack the car up, take off the stock, put the new ones on, and bring the car down.
Review: First i want to say some bad things. since my car is 10 years old and have never change the stock headers, the o2 sensor was a big problem. I had to take the stock headers to meineke to get it off and i had to buy a new one cuz the threads were gone. Other than that, the headers were easy to install and are amazing. I could feel a huge power increase. They are also waay lighter than the stock ones. They look great too.

I have the jdm ITR 4-1 header. Its a really nice piece but its still considered one of the worst performers compared to the likes of Spoon/T1R etc...

Where is the O2 sensor that is usually located near the front of the engine (on a stock 2-piece, iron exhaust manifold for a D15B7)?

the stock o2 is pretty visable from the front but with this header, it is relocated under the car fairly close to the cat. the header came with an extenstion wire to reach the new location so there was no problem with that.

If the O2 sensor gets moved to another location, doesn't that affect the fuel/air ratio. Did you have any issues after installing the header with the O2 sensor in a different location?

after installing the header the engine began to idol very oddly. its been about 6 months and it still does. when i start the engine it first idols at a lil over 1k, then about 5-10min later it goes just under 1k, and then when the engine is warm and idols, the needle is all the way down as if the car was off. I cant figure out what the problem is, i got an intake, did a tune up and everything and still idols weird. i cant say for sure if the location of the O2 matters but i figure it shouldnt. i think i need to reset the timing or something.

ya i've done that and no luck. i doubt its the sensor cuz i had that replaced with i installed the header. i really dont know why its doing it but everything seems to be o.k. been about 6 months and no problems other than wacky idol...

god is the o2 sensor a pain to reach on mine. Probably because I didnt have the proper equipment but it took me forever to get that sumbish out.
**note to self, get solid rubber ramps or 10 extensions**

[sm=happy046.gif]i finally got my idol problem fixed!...i replaced the fuel filter yesterday and drove around for lil while today and the idol was better. I also noticed that the rpms go up a bit smoother. seems like that last time the fuel filter was replaced was about 9 years ago and when i took it off, i shook it to see if it would rattle and nothing, seemed to be clogged up pretty badly...new ones in, everythings fine and dandy and im happy:D

do you have an exhaust on there? if you do, did it make it much louder? right now all i have done to my car is a Tanabe exhaust and it sounds great right now, but im so afraid that if i put on headers its gonna make it loud as h3ll. i enjoy driving long distances without a headache :D

i had an exhaust before i put the header on and after i put the header, it made the exhaust slightly deeper tone but not much louder.

ok good stuff, cause here pretty soon im throwin on an AEM V2 and the DC headers, and i just dont want it to be as loud as my last car. it was extremely loud goin about 70-80, had to crank the stereo to drown out the sound, which then made my head hurt even worse.

with the intake and headers, it'll prolly just have a deeper tone, shouldnt really go up in sound very much.

Did you put a baffle on yourtip skimmy?
My magnaflow catback didn't come with a silencer shipped with it, but I actually kind of like the deep sound. If your on the highway and your going over 70 it does kind of annoy me after awhile though, my girlfriend also complains about it cause she can't hear the radio....
anyone know a good place to just get silencers? On ebay they have all the tips with silencers junk. But not just a baffle...

The first 5 to 19 minutes of higher reving the the "Choke" the cars' ecu revs a little higher idol untill the car warms' up all cars do this, but these cars that we modify way way out of designer intension will make the car rev considerably higher, the automatic choke adjust the air fuel ratio to be rich. when paired up with bigger throttle body or headers This will take a hardly noticeable 100 rpm higher on a stock configuratinon. While like 300-400 rpms higher on a modified car, plus it is easer to notice to use because of the louder noise our car modifications have caused.
