i hear that after installing springs on a civic, you cannot realign the car...tell me this is false

whoever told you that, kick them in the nuts twice for me and then as many times as you want for yourself.

Yes its most definately false, if you lower your car more than 2" though get a camber kit.

so my drop is said to be at 1.6"...so no need for a camber kit right?

youre actually cutting it close. your tires will wear a little faster on the inside edge, but not horribly. but honestly, the 150-200 bucks for a skunk2,Blox, or omnipower kit is well worth it in the long run.

Is a camber kit hard to install or is it straight forward/ what all does it involve?

its simple. it just replaces the front upper control arm.
