a good header is great for a vtec civ, expect about 5hp and maybe a little more torque, as for cost, you can save some money by only getting one header.:D

Damn you! I must be getting slow at my old age, haha

JuJu, I dont understand you question. Do you mean whats the next best mod after those? If so I'd go into suspension if you dont have any upgrades there yet. Maybe even a short shifter if your manual

ohh yeah, go with a short shifter and a bushing set for it, it will make a big difference in the shift feel. i suggest the skunk2 double-bend, but its kinda expensive. i broke two aluminum ones in like two weeks, so i got the billet steel S2 and havent had a prob in like 2 years. then do some good suspension. dont worry about power yet. make that thing handle and stop really well, then do some big power mods.

sorry...for my speaking ....:D

well the handling is what i want first and brake right now i'm gonna have $500 i'm counting to do suspention right away but what should i do after???

what is that short shifter??? just changing the shifter of the 5 speed is that it???

changes the pivot point fot you shifter as well as making it a little shorter. You will be able to shift quicker and have power to the wheels quicker.

for 500 bucks, get coilovers and some decent shocks. maybe even a full coilover setup. check ebay.

honestly, dont go with 18s unless you just have to have them. it will hurt your handling, your car will be slower than hell, and the tires cost twice as much as 15s or 16s. not to mention the tires will rub under the fender. if you want any performance, go with 205/40/16 or for a little less handling, but a little softer ride, 205/45/16. if you have to have bigger, go 215/35/17. dont go over 17 though, it may look good, but it wont be near as fun to drive.

sacicons is right, anything over 17 is a waste... if you want to go totally for the performance go with some 15 or 16 inch lightweights.

i'm learning so much..

now what is the best height(for the suspension) for performance?

sacicons

lowered about 1.5 to 2.5 inches, depending on wheels and tires. ive got adjustable coilovers on mine, and ive been playing with it to find what is best, and right now ive got it handling well, but it was a little lower and would rub a little around u-turns, so i raised it just enough to stop that. now its perfect.

struts will help suspension more, but springs will give you a little less handling than struts, but a much more comfortable ride. Look into a strut bar which is a brace that goes into the engine bay and locks the 2 strut towers together, reducing chassis flex.

but the biggest improvment (aftersprings/struts) will be in the way of sway bars, huge difference!

hell yeah, i couldnt believe it when i got my rear one on, now its all about off-throttle oversteer. on-command oversteer from a FF car? sweet!

so....let me ask a question if the best height is 2.0 inches why shoul i putt coil over and not only TEIN's springs....?

sacicons

the springs are made to be pretty good for all kinds of driving, but not the best for any one kind. the coil overs are adjustable so you can set them for what you like. if you want to lower it all the way to look good, and then raise it all the way for driving in the snow with chains on your tires, you can. they are more useful for everything as well as being a little better for handling. but a good set is way more expensive than springs.

ok so....i think i'm gonna buy those springs.....(TEIN"S)

good call, then when you want the super street coilovers, you can sell the springs, and make some of your money back.
