I've decided that i wanna get a system and i'm wonderin if my stock battery is gonna be able to keep up with it because a friend of mine had to replace his battery when he put in his system cuz the system drained the battery faster than it could be recharged. if i do need another battery, wut kind should i get? and how much would it cost? and also, will i need power caps?

instead of a bigger battery, get a high capacity alternator. it recharges the battery faster, and if you are using more power than youre making, it doesnt matter how big your battery is. it will drain. if your battery is in good shape now, then just go with the alternator.

yea, ive been thru every possible option for all my cars and my various system set ups. if you want just like some extra bass and get like one 10" sub you should be fine with just 1/2 farad capacitor in the mix. if yer going with a little more than that you might need a full farad capacitor and MIGHT wanna get a optima yellow top. this is what i have and i have no problems anymore. but i have a 1000 watts RMS powering two twelve inch Alpine type R's. so yes , it depends what yer getting i suppose
