Well This forum was kinda slow so I thought I would post something. One think I look forward to is detailing my car. I always do a mint job and its one of things you want to drive around and show people. Atleast for me it is lol. And don't get me wrong I hate cleaning, my room is a freakin mess but my car is very rarely dirty. Am I nuts or do other people like doing this to?

Well, I think its the whole mentality of it. If you have a dirty room, you got a dirty room so you have to step over things. When you got a dirty car, you are literally sitting in the filth.

so do i..i always wash it in the summer people always tell me " your going to wear the paint out" for jokes and the inside is immaculate..when i got the car there was so much hair in it from a dog or somthing but i took care of that, and my civic carpit matts look so new..i hate having a dirty car, but now that its winter its hard to keep it clean...but ill give it the spring cleaning when it comes along...my mom had her suv for a year and never cleaned the inside 1ns, i detailed the entire thing, shampoo inside and everything..took me like 5 hours, but after that it looked like a different suv, my parents didn't want to step in it cuz it was so clean..

i hate cleaning it, because i know its just gunna get dirty soon again... so everytime i think about cleaning it, i think "is it gunna snow/rain in the next few days?" and the answer is allways yes.

Haha yeah, it always seems once you fully detail it, get it waxed and everything, it rains the next day. If i leave it in the garage though our stupid cat walks all over it, so it actually stays cleaner outside [&:]. And i too ditto the part about having a messy room but a clean car!

im a major clean freak. my room is spotless as is my cars interior. i live on a dirt road so the exterior is hard to keep up. i get pissy with my gf when she places something on the floor in my car.

Question... my interior is black... and it seems like I have to vaccume and dust it every day... anyone got any suggestion on what might keep the dust down... but still nice and shiny?

Armor-All wipes.:D

^ I like the armor all spray, the wipes tend to leave white lins around. Well, far as Im concerned, when my car isn't clean in or out, I dont feel right.

Thanks guys... i'd been using the Honda spray and it cleans good but leaves the inside kinda dull... not to mention...it's kinda expensive and i go through about a can every other week.

I heard Armor-All is crap. Does no good for leather. I use black magic. Def my favorite and it smells good to.

The Mr. Clean Auto Dry carwash works like a champ, the wife got one for Christmas and it just set in the corner until I gave it a try. I must say that I was really surprised how well it worked. Don’t get me wrong, if your car is dirty enough to need a power washer then it’s not the thing for you, but if you keep your car clean almost all the time (every day it’s not raining) then this gadget is a must. Cuts the cleaning time more then half, and my old @ss hands cant ring out a rag like I used to, so the spin cycle for some damp towels (for the small spots so you can start a little faster) and Mr. Clean is the way to go.

i love to keep my car as clean as possible. if its a really nice day out i dont mind spending a few hours cleaning everything inside and out and even the engine bay.

heres a list of all the stuff i use:
* Turtle Wax Zip wax car wash
* Windex/RainX wipes for interior/exterior windows and glass
* RoyalBlue wax:D(love this stuff)
* Armor All ultiamte clean spray for interior/exterior plastics and rubber
* Armor All extreme tire shine spray
* A nice hose sprayer with many different pressures for different surfaces

After you get all done waxing, go over the finish with some connoisseurs dry gold wipes for a totally insane shine. I get mine in WAL-MART. You can use them on your tail lenses also.

WHat do you shampoo with and wat shampoo do you use? I have a steam cleaner but the interior always ends up really wet.

i dust my interior just about everday... and it never gets old. today i pulled out the center consol and cleaned the carpet and all the peices indevidually inside and out just so i kno its really clean. my car is very black so i use black magic dusting cloths to get rid of pollen daily... it works really well without scrathcing the paint. i have to wash and wax my car quiet a bit becuase i live near the beach and the salt in the air is murderous to the finish... exspesially if it rains. also got up at 6 am to wash and wax and the ol' girl becuase thats teh only time when i ahve shade, but since its florida. at 11 am it rained for aobut 10 minutes then not 15 seconds after it stopped the sun was out and burning the water spots. But yea, my room is also a sty, i hate it... but its no fun cleaning your room. i think its because your mom never said... "hey go clean your car or no skateboarding". but its safe to say that just about everyone one here enjoys makin their baby *~shine~* <----- (yea that was kinda gay)

I think I actually got my crazy anal cleanliness from my wife. She's nuts about keeping the house clean, and now I'm nuts about the car!

I still say the car is cleaner, so I win. :)

Just the other day, I took advantage of a break in the rain to wash my car. As soon as I was done, the rain started back up again.
Why did I do that, you ask?
Because the rain can't powerwash the brake dust out of the deep recesses of my wheels!

MUST CLEAN!!

I LOVE to clean my car, but most of my many bosses live on gravel roads[:@], so I clean it every weekend, and then it gets dusty.
