After buying my civic I noticed they didnt do a good job cleaning the ceiling. I'm taking it's from having the sun roof open. But towards the rear and around the light it's nasty. It's a light color grey and really noticable. What should I use to get this dirt out?

OxiMagic works pretty well.

I have some random "all purupose auto fabric cleaner" that I use, can't seem to remember what its called. It treats everything from carpet to vinyl. I smoke in my car, so my ceiling tends to get a little haggard, but one shot of that ****, and a couple minutes dabbing with a towel, and it looks brand new again.

I'll post what its called later when I get home.

this might sound weard, but head and sholders shampoo works really good..my mom had salt stains on her floor mats and carpet, i mixed some head and sholders with water in a bucket, got a really ruff scrubby and srubbed the carpet a bit with the head and sholders and it worked like a charm for me

Cleaning the carpet ceiling

FYI, that material is called the "headliner."

NOOOOO!!!

The first car I ever looked at was a smoker's car... Nissan something or other, nothing special but that was definitely a deal breaker. Ended up getting the old green civic instead so, I guess it worked out.

haha, dude I'm as anal about the inside of my car as I am the outside. I challenge you, to sit in my car, and even TRY to smell smoke....its damn near impossible.

The last two cars I sold were the same way, I smoked in them everyday for years, and the buyer was none the wiser... When the dude bought the Jetta, he actually comented that it "still smells brand new!":D
