I know it cost like 15 bucks a quart. and only works best when you COMPLETELY flush out your old coolant from the motor and radiator. Depending on your motor you'll have to get the appropriate amount of coolant. Or, if that's too expensive for you, Go to your local Honda motorcycle/dirtbike/atv dealer, and get the blue bottles of HP Coolant. That is what i have in my car and It lowered the tempurature of the motor by a good 10-15 degrees. I also got a slight increase of power. The Coolant stuff from the car dealer is excellent stuff too. A buddy of mine used it (flushed out old and everything) and got about 15degrees cooler. That is the way to go. I worka t a motorcycle shop and I see a difference in the performance of the motorcycle, just by having the motor run cooler. and a couple of people at my work hav done the same thing as me and they alos notice the car running better. Pete 01-01-2006, 11:16 PM jiffy lube will do a coolant flush for about 60 bucks. They have a good machine. Works very well. xjbmx 01-02-2006, 12:27 AM ORIGINAL: ef4life the best coolant is honda genuine antifreeze with water wetter. i run it in my car, it doesn't corrode the aluminum and runs a lot cooler. Water wetter is some damn good stuff!! I put that in my jeep (the 4.0 in that thing always ran hot) and it lowered the water temp 15 degrees! |
