i didnt get much of it cuz it was lagging like hell...but it looked like the Si had it the whole way?

There was a big ass debate, that i started. My friend was going to race (and did) a Civic SI, he had a tC. He doesn't have the car anymore and the results of the race were inconclusive.

it appeared that the si was winning but i cant make out if it is a 15.3 or a 15.9 for the tc it is obvious the si ran a 15.4

The SI won cause i saw the lights on top of the board where the results are posted. It was the close track where the civic was racing.

Lets not B.S. ok, the SI got 15.4, and the TC got 15.3.

yea the scion ran a 15.36 and the SI ran a 15.41

I dont see what the debate is about, they have the same stock horsepower, the SI weighs a little less. I bet the scion is a little more responsive to mods.

Civic got a good launch, but the tC caught up

bottom line is that they are pretty similar in their performance.

wasnt the debate about a 6th gen SI?

Exactlyy ^^ Cause we all kno a 6th gen Si (especially a red one) would SMOKE that TC. Haha jk..but it would be interesting to see..came with the same 160..but Im guessing mine is lighter than the 02-05 Si. But they came with the iVTEC. I dunno, anyone wanna give me some insight about this one?

6th gen is about 1-2 tenths faster than 7th gen.

OO..so in reality..my car would have either tied that Scion or beat it by a tenth of a second. Haha given that I was a good enough driver, or as good as that driver.

No the debate was about a EP SI

the 4.3 is a little differant story

All I know is the 2.2 has 120hp, and the 4.3 has 180hp, but it is still a 3200lb truck, with truck gearing. No match for decently powered compact car.

Trucks are meant to haul crap, not ass. 'cept for the lightning or srt-10 or t-diesels of course

If he is looking for speed, yea bad choice.
But if he is looking for a show truck, the s10 extremes are hardly beaten in mini-truck classes

I have never driven an Si, but my gf has a tc and I think it would beat an si. I raced my buddies turbo'd celica with that thing and kept up all the way through second. pulls hard as hell.
