A/F Question.
Seriously though, even at stock you could extract 3-5Hp just by tweaking the stock fuel and igniton; and that number goes up with every mod. Your ECU is designed with safety and economy in mind, not performance. With that being said, it can adjust for most bolt-ons but to what extent I have no idea, so if you wanna know, get to tuning.
thats true to an extent, but its not an easy task to perform. You can run NA and tune for more power, you could screw the cars a/f ratio up, but u can always lower it. Get a fuel pressure gauge and mount it to the fuel rail.............this way you can see your fuel pressure.
a/f ratio gauges are narrow band gauges, meaning theyre a/f readings are WORTHLESS.........ud need a wideband 02 sensor.......theyre 2-400$......so were talkin about a decent amount of money for little power.
Ok. I had to bring this thread back up. If I did mount a fuel pressure gauge to my fuel rail, could I increase the pressure by a few psi without screwing up the a/f? Or would I need an O2 sensor to make sure. Mind you that I don't really care if I don't get ALL the hp that I could out of the fuel. I just want to net a few with a resonably priced mod. I don't really want to spend $400 on a O2 sensor, when I could use that money for alot of other mods.
If you want an adjustable fpr and a cool gauge for under the hood, go for it. You could net a couple of ponies running a little rich, but keep in mind that you will be speeding the demise of your o2 sensor and cat.
A better route would be a tb spacer. What are your mods again?
