i feel obligated to not sleep tonight as of a nightmare about that wing ejecting from the car, turning to a transformer, and killing me.

Well the mystery is solved with the evo wing on the back of a civic.

Wait a sec are you saying that adding a evo wing to a car gives those kind of gains. Be right back, i need to go to a mitsu dealership and break off a evo wing for myself.

i dont think it looks to bad, anyone remember that guy who sead they put a evo wing on his friends car but he had no pics??? mabey its his firends car

to tell you the truth i don't think it looks bad at all. it'd look gay on 6th or 8th gens though.(and of course anything older than 96...

Wing looks slightly different, but he claims its an evo wing.

the back of evo's are kinda boxy and the wing is ment to flow with that boxiness. just looks so bad on a civic IMO...

the way the outer wings of the spioler are, it almost works with the stance and the tail light assembly.

man, i don't think it looks that bad, if it was on a sedan it would look a lot more symetrical to the rest of the body..... i kinda like it lol

now, if the wing was functional, and the car was RWD... then itd be decent. but, the car is FWD, and so that wing aint really gonna help the car.

i actually think it looks ok. but thats the only gen that can pull it off. and it sure looks a lot better than the other two hondas in the parking lot with massive chrome rims

It looks too big for that car. But then again, I liked my Si without even the stock spoiler.. I think especially for FWD cars, having a spoiler is somewhat of a waste of weight. When I first bought my Si, this 16 year old guy who thinks hes totally into the tuner scene said, "OMG that car is sweet. The first thing you gotta do is get a big wing for it!" I just laughed at him, and drove away.

Really, I dont think it looks all that bad. and that wing is functional, and to those of you who say that you dont need downforce on the rear of a FWD car, take a ride with me around an on-ramp. I can put my car sideways at will. a little more traction in the rear could be nice for high-speed sweepers. but im just done with spoilers for now. Im taking mine off soon, and the most I will be doing is a little lip spoiler. but what concerns me is that for kicks, I set the Evo wing up on the rear of my car, and it was a solid 3 inches too wide for the trunk. those have to have been cut down, and I wonder how well they were put back together.[&:] not many people are good with carbon fiber.:eek:

You can't take it off the side cut it then put the side piece back on?

well, your right on one thing about the spoiler on FWD, if you race on a circuit with a FWD car its may be a pretty good thing to have, but not on an everyday honda.[&:]

and do i get slapped for saying silver is better than red around you, since you always right? [8D]

haha i guess my airfoil didnt like my car... just testing her out for the first time today going fast..and i hit 100..i later hear this clunk clunk clunk..here the airfoil fell off and was being held on by the wires connected to the leds!!! haha it was great!

i think it doesn't look terrible on the red one, so shoot me. still not a fan of them in general though. but spoilers can be functional on a fwd car going over 80mph because it balances the air pressure on the front and back. and for those who always say "no fwd car should EVER have a spoiler", the spoilers on sport compacts are no less functional and more for looks than the giant ass spoiler on say a road runner

auctually, no. that wing was functional, that along with the front end helped propell the car to over 200 MPH.

Wings for down force arent really meant for traction to the drive wheels, since most wings dont do much till at least 30 or 40 mph and then the evo wing helps most between 70 and 80 mph, and most people dont have traction problems at those speeds. The wing is more about keeping the contact patch on the ground at high speeds



ANd yes, Sacs car is quite scarry at high spped on ramps, although, it is funny to see him try to follow me though a local winding street and end up in the oncoming traffics' lane, lol.

That person to the left with the honda sould gank his wing,it might work with them big rims.
