i got an 88 sedan and i want a zc but they hardly make any performance parts for that engine.b16 s are way more powerful but require more mods to fit.i bought the honda engine swap guide so i can do alot of research.

Its hard to find an OBD0 b16 you could put a OBDI with alot of wiring but its possible.

an h series is a big project that involves a lot of cutting and welding and that is for a bolt in mount kit.

b series a a relatively easy swap, and rewireing to obd 1 is not too hard, its just a matter of buying a conversion harness from someone like www.jkobd.com www.boomslang.us or www.rywire.com

It doesn't necessarily involve a LOT of cutting, but it does involve some... at least for an H22. I have yet to do an H23.

The SIR-I B16A is a 4G motor, so you wouldn't have a problem there.

And there's plenty of aftermarket support for ZC motors... All they are are D-series'.

hahaha damn zc parts are evewhere if you know what to look for. crower/delta offers cams, bottom end parts are compatable with almost all sohc 1.6 bottom ends, you can find everything for a zc that you can find for a sohc 1.6. you will however never find parts listed as "zc" parts. mix and match and you can build your zc.

what types of engines share these parts.this is a deciding factor of which engine i wanna get.i want the zc becuuse its cheap and easy to install ,but the b16 is way more powerful and has tons of aftermarket support.i want to swap myself because labor is just too expensive.

from my understanding, the zc uses the same rods as a d16, i believe the pistons might be different though

A DOHC ZC is nothing but a D16A8 or A9 (generation-specific). Just look up the OE Honda part numbers. As for the SOHC VTEC ZC's, they share aftermarket parts with most other 1.5 and/or 1.6 D-series'.
