yea i got a quick question.
i have a tranny from my hatch, DX and i am drivin an LX 4door and i was wondering if the tranny from the DX would be better in my LX.....

 

Umm are they both from the same generation? If so, no they are the same damn transmission. The DX and LX are the exact same car. the LX only has a few bells and whistles and thats about it.

 

Same transmission untill you get to the 6th gens

For your car it has the following

1st-----3.250
2nd-----1.762
3rd-----1.172
4th-----0.909
5th-----0.702
Final Drive---4.058

 

yeah same tranny, if you want some different gears than go and find like a si or ex tranny and swap it in there.

Not on the 5th gen's, the 6th gen civic's have slightly different gears in the dx/lx/cx/hx transmissions.

 

i was just looking at a gear ratio chart and it showed that the Si and Lx had same tranny ratios????WTF

 

THAT can't be right...are you sure you're looking at the right thing?
