Mechanical Problems & Technical Chat - no spark

i got a 98 hk 1.6 liter and im currently not getting any spark.. ive tested the coil and it seems to be good, and the plugs and wires are new, and the distributor itself seems to be new.. is there something i have overlooked??

i was told maybe it was the "temp sensor" because i guess it used to not start in the cold for the previous owner? but ive had it inside a heated shop for 4 days now and it still wont start.. no spark...

any help would greatly be appreciated

check the ecm. its the little brown or grey box inside the distributor. thats hondas achilles heel.

okay ill check that out.. now the question i have is how exactly do i test this? and what is it and what does it do?? am i correct to assume ecm stands for electronic control module? sorry im kinda new to these hondas [sm=imsorry.gif]

yeah, you have the right idea. but i dont remember how to test it, if someone knows, post up, if not, ill get my manual from my bros house when i get a chance and ill post it.

okay i took another look, and is the ecm the lil electronic component that picks up the signal from the gear looking part of the distributor shaft ???
