There might be another way to remove the governor only, but I dont know how Struletz 05-17-2004, 07:13 PM 2003 Civic EX Sedan, i have full cat back exhaust and intake, and header on way. green98lxsedan 05-17-2004, 08:31 PM get a superchips or some sort of aftermarket chip. i really dunno how makes chips for hondas. diablo sport maybe??? they can pretty much do what u want them to do.
in my stang im runnin the superchips micro tuner. its pretty cool. you can raise or in my case completely elimininat the top speed limiter. it can also raise shift points in an auto and the shift firmness advance timing and correct the speedo for aftermarket gears.
but i think a chip is the way to go
Struletz 05-17-2004, 09:21 PM Where would i find a superchip, i think i have heard of one on one of the garage shows on T.V. but i didnt believe it, i thought they said super charger, so where would i be able to buy or find one and how much do they run? polo708 05-18-2004, 06:25 AM They can get pretty pricey... I've got my eye on the "unichip", but it runs about $700. You can find a regular chip (even on Ebay) for about $150 Struletz 05-23-2004, 07:30 PM Does anyone have a website for the superchip or any type of information i could get on ordering one, because i have heard they can do some wonders for a car? Thanks -Struletz green98lxsedan 05-23-2004, 09:31 PM check with your local speed shop. they can custom burn a chip for your car. they will put it on a dyno and fine tune everything. you can get some sweet hp out of a superchips chip. there are a ton of chip makers. polo708 05-24-2004, 01:08 PM type in www.yahoo.com [sm=smiley2.gif] lilol89crx 05-24-2004, 10:02 PM best way to do it would be taking it to a shop with a dyno and have them custom burn it. is hondata avalable for the 01+ ? Drift queen 07-13-2004, 01:40 AM If you are going to go to all of the trouble of fiddling around with the ECU, replace it with a Motec, particularly the model with launch control. They are King S*#t of computers. Microtechs are okay, but they are like the mcdonalds version if you get my drift....;) |
