I'm hanging a Magnaflow cat back on my 04 civic DX when the parts get here, and checking the threads I'm gonna have new bolts and springs on hand plus I checked the hangers etc they look good, but I can't find whether or not I should have or even need to have a new gasket (where the new exhaust bolts up to the lwr stock exh manni flange) I cant find a illustrated parts breakdown that even shows if one is there or not. Plus is there anything else I should have on hand so the job goes smoothly? I hate to have something apart and not have the stuff to finish it plus dont want to have to WALK 3 miles to the parts store if I find out I don't have stuff I need. I got all the hand tools, dremel and cutoff wheels etc. and been soaking the lower bolts with penetrant lube. anything else I have missed??

yes you should use a new gasket at the axel back part. just make sure you have the tools, nuts/bolts, catback, gasket, and make sure the rubber part for the hangers are in good shape. with that you should be set.

It should come with a gasket. Anyway, you might have a slight problem with clearance. I have a DX too. You also might find that the resonator has 2 hanger hooks but one is only offered. Dont worry about it.

Magnaflow must be gettin cheap nowadays because they didn't include the gasket.

my magnaflow didnt come with a gasket for the cat-to-header part, used the stock gasket, but came with all the other gaskets for the exhaust piping....
