hi all. I know im a huge board troll. I camp at my computer for way too many hours per day. ok so for this thread Id like to hear about swapping in a better engine for my civic. I have a d16y7 engine, which I have realized has limited potential for racing. what is a good source for used engines? how much should i expect to pay? how tough is the swap to do at home?

dont know how hard it is to o the swap at home, i didnt do mine but i think the most you would pay is 4200, unless u get a K20.

I like www.hmotorsonline.com I haven't ever bought a motor from them, but I've only heard good things. You shouldnt do a swap yourself unless you absolutely know exactly what you are doing, otherwise you can screw things up pretty bad.

The swap isnt that hard to do in the driveway. I did mine(B16 in a 96 hatch) in one day with two friends helping and only one of us had done a swap before. and depending on what motor you want the prices will vary checkout inlinefour.com and totaljdm.com

d16 motors can have potential if u actually build it
