On the 2000 Civic that I am about to get my hands on, it has the 1.6 Liter DOCH vtec engine in it. Im not sure what it is LX,DX etc. But can that stock block handle turbo? Or would I have to go with a B series enginee to be able to handle it. Im not looking @ dropping tons of cash into it. Just a few hundred bucks here and there, until it can handle some boost. Any ideas on getting horsepower return at a reasonably low cost? It has cold air intake thats all. Any input would be great. Thanks

if its DOHC, it is a b series. and as long as youre careful about it, and dont push it too hard, it will handle boost just fine. or you can stay Naturally Aspirated, and start picking up some smaller parts, like cams and a header. few hundred bucks at a time.

Alright cool. The guy im buying my civic from, I do not remeber if it was the DOHC motor or not. I am going to verify this before I buy it lol. But ty for the reply and the link. It will be a naturally aspirated car for awhile.
