my friend just bought 3 of these how many of ya'll think that it's too much bass... he came over and to let me listen to them and my neighbor came out and said i thought a frikin helicopter was landing around here... too much???? you decide!

That is ridiculous, you should have told him to put that money in the bank and save for his future instead of waisting it on bursting his own (and those of others) eardrums.

i however AM a huge fan of bass, i have 2 12's in my trunk now...BUTTTT too much bass is too much bass...i dont have mine turned up all the way...its just rediculous having too much that other people dont wanna ride with you? feel me?

As an audiophile... and in my (i guess you say professional opinion) opinion, yes, there can be. Im all about the bass tuning. I have a kick *** sub.... however, its a listening sub. Hell, I have it tuned so well, when you are listening to the sub with the trunk open behind the car, you cant hear it... only vibration. But inside the car... its a whole different animal.

On the other side, I am a BASSHEAD Used to have 4 12's in a wall right behind the seats in my CRX, it was loud. To me there can never be too much bass.. HOWEVER, you also need LOTS and LOTS of mids/highs to keep up with the bass Gotta have Total sound, not just lots of Bass.
