Okay, I have 04 civic.. B96p original deep blue paint job... all stock from the outside... new rims soon... my hood is chipped to high heaven so I am thinking either get it repainted professionally or just get a carbon fiber vis invader hood... what do you think would be good? If cf hood should I go dark rims?

If you get a CF hood, it could be sharp if you pick up a set of the black polished 5-spoke rims that have the chrom lip on them.
Alternatively, a set of clean 17-spoke rims would look good on a dark car.
See if you can get a CF trunk-lid too and keep it looking symmetrical.

Well, if you can't get a CF trunk, just hop over to a junkyard and snag the trunklid from a black '04.

What should I do for the OEM spoiler? Do i need a black spoiler to go along with it? I would rather die than have one of those crappy wing ones.

Totally CF hood but look into Seibon, they are an awesome company at low prices, lower than VIS and I personally like the Seibon styles much better.

Because they look good and are lighter.
Hey, and moogly, have you tried touch up paint? It doesn't look the best, but if you really take your time it can come out ok.

BTW: if you get a carbon fiber hood, make sure it has a metal latch. I know a guy at work who had a carbon fiber hood that had a plastic latch and it came up on the highway, flew off, and dented the top of his car.

+1 on the carbon fiber, in the mean time buff and touch up.

get a carbon fiber hood and a 1 foot clear bra strip on the hood to prevent chips from happaning, just go to any place that does window tinting.

Yeah I bought some paint from the dealer a while ago and tried to paint it myself but it looks absolutely terrible... I didnt know what I was supposed to do so I dabbed it on and then it went crazy... I kinda like the carbon fiber hood, I saw it on a blue civic coupe and I dont mind it much, actually. I talked to an autobody place and he will charge me a little more to repaint it than it would be to just buy a new cf hood so I might do it along with the rims and lowering.. does CF chip at all? For the trunk would I need a black spoiler? I already have a blue OEM one?
ummmmmm......
