How hard is it to change the gauges in a 97 Civic LX? I want to get these for its http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97-98-99-00-CIVIC-EX-LX-MT-GLOW-GAUGES-LOW-S-H-FEE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43952QQihZ009QQitem Z190004774752QQrdZ1
but ive heard that on some cars you gotta take the steering wheel down or something and theres a chance of setting off the airbag. Is there a guide anywhere?

no a hard procedure get a haynes munual to show you how to disable your SRS and then you can pop a couple screws out and do the job

you dont have to worry about the air bad, you just take the pastic piece off around your gauges (2 screws on the top and pull it out), then there are 4 screws that hold your gauges in place, take thos out and unplug the harness from the back and you can take it out..then you need to take the plastic clear thing off the front, and put thos gauge faces over your stock ones and put it all back
so NO, you dont need to worry about the stearing wheel or air bag..your not going to be touching them

The one thing you might have to do is drill out a small hole in the top or side of the gauge cluster to run your wires through for the new gauges. Other than that mill$civic has got ya covered.
