The Lounge - some possible good newsView Full Version : some possible good news green98lxsedan 05-22-2004, 07:36 AM gas prices might start to stabilize pretty soon. sounds like opec is gonna be increasing oil production by 2 million barrels a day. woohooooooo Importman04 05-22-2004, 11:27 AM so does that mean the\at they might go don or saty the same green98lxsedan 05-22-2004, 12:11 PM they didnt really say but if it goes down it wont be by much ill guess. but as long as it levels off thats fine with me. polo708 05-22-2004, 04:06 PM true, but in Italy they pay about $5 a gallon, I swear... $1.10 per liter. And they think its OK?? Thats what u get for having a pansy ass government green98lxsedan 05-22-2004, 04:09 PM damn dude. the taxes across the atlantic are insane. everything is taxed like theres no tomm green98lxsedan 05-22-2004, 05:20 PM polo, ide be rollin a vespa if i was over there anyway. they are pimp. is unleaded more than diesel? and are they switchin more to unleaded over diesel now?? NTX 05-22-2004, 07:25 PM Imagine what suv drivers are payin to fill up! Importman04 05-22-2004, 09:58 PM this lady came into the shop the other day for a brake job and she said that she just fillled her tank up and she said that it costed her like 110 buskc to fill that thing up green98lxsedan 05-23-2004, 08:11 AM ide only be fillin the tank hafl full until i could sell that thing NTX 05-23-2004, 03:13 PM what they spend on gas a month is more than some car notes! If it cost me more than $20 i get mad! Dazer 05-24-2004, 09:11 AM Here in the UK it costs about 87 pence thats approx $1.60 per litre and its going up all the time. I think it is 90% tax. Tony Blair should be slapped silly polo708 05-24-2004, 12:34 PM ORIGINAL: green98lxsedan polo, ide be rollin a vespa if i was over there anyway. they are pimp. is unleaded more than diesel? and are they switchin more to unleaded over diesel now?? We get gas coupons, that make it out to be about 1.50/gallon, but if the gas station is closed and U need gas via the automatic machine... thats when we have to pay on the economy. If I had to pay those prices... hell yeah I'd have a vespa! Most cars here are diesel, but it cost almost the same... its like .89 per liter. NTX 05-24-2004, 04:02 PM If these prices don't change, diesel's and electrics are gonna be more popular. danman114 05-25-2004, 09:48 PM I hope diesels and electrics get to be wicked popular... its better for the environment... I'll never get one though, cause I need the performance :)... But I heard OPEC increasing output won't help much because the oil won't be converted to gas in time for summer, which is half the reason prices are so high. green98lxsedan 05-25-2004, 09:56 PM yea it will take a while for things to kick in but i have notice over the past few days were back down under $2 we hit 2.09 and now im seein 1.99 so maybe things leveled off and will stay right arougn 2 or a little less NTX 05-25-2004, 10:28 PM The prices will continue to go up and we'll sound like old giezers saying "back when i was your age gas was only 2 bucks". [sm=smiley23.gif] green98lxsedan 05-25-2004, 10:31 PM damn i remember the days of $.75-$.80 a gallon. once in high school the price spiked to $1.25 and everyonethought it was the end ofthe world. danman114 05-25-2004, 10:51 PM the cheap place i go to just raised their prices a nickel to 2.07 9/10 ... its a sad state of affairs when you monitor the price of gas on a DAILY BASIS... it was up over .12 than last week... |
