ECU Tuning & Fuel Management - alternator

can you put a alt. from a different model honda into a 98 civic ex.Will it burn out the electrical system.I'm asking cause I do have a system in my car.I do know that I need a bigger cap than the one I have.I already have a yellow top.Grounding kit is in the works also.any help would be great.

A friend of mine found a site on the internet that makes costum alternators. He has a 91 cougar and he has mass stero ****. He found his online and they made it for him for like 450.00 but thats like a 200 amp alternator so i am sure you can find a nice onr online wiyh more power than the weak 90 amp stock one.
