New Member Introductions - Hey All

Hey, how is everyone, figure i'd introduce myself and all that jazz.

I've got a 97 Honda Civic EX, 5 speed, and its my first car to ever really do any mods to.

When I bought it from the dealership, it had Dual Cat-back exhaust, and the rear and side body kits, and some gaudy altezza tail lights.

Since I bought it last summer I've had the Cat-back exhaust rerun correctly (had them put a Y-Pipe in, the genius who had the car before me basically just ran the left pipe at a 90degree tap off the main pipe.) I've also put in some halo projector headlights, put some more lowkey altezzas on the back, a mugen style front lip to complete my body kit, a chrome shifter, and I have a BOMZ cold air intake on the way. Oh yeah, to hold me over until I get some aluminum wheels for my car, i bought some factory Civic Hubcaps.

I should have some new pictures up of everything i've done up to this point as soon as I install the cold air intake. So sometime in the coming week they'll be posted.

the civic looks good. Hows that big dual exhaust sound?

Yeah that is what I was thinking, but wont having dual exhaust actually hurt the horsepower?

it sounds good now that its been bent correctly, before the left pipe was nothing but resonance and it was just loud and didn't sound good at all. I'll see if i can get some sort of sound bite for you guys to hear, it has a fairly deep throaty sound now.

As far as the horsepower thing goes, when I first got the car and there was little to no backpressure coming from the left pipe and it definitely hurt it, but now that I went back and had someone do it correctly I haven't really noticed any slowdown compaired to any other civics with the same engine. If it has had an affect on my horsepower it hasn't really been noticeable.

But yeah I'll definitely see about getting a sound bite up this week sometime.
