tapped oil pan

Default tapped oil pan

is there a DIY out there so i can figure out how to tap my oil pan? i want to weld something on there, but not sure what to do. if i could get some pics for step by step instructions that would be great. thanks

there is a part in the turbo install diy or i know like i did you can buy a pre tapped oil pan

Dude its easy. Drain your oil. There are 10 bolts (i think 10) and you take them off and drop the pan. Clean it up real good, and drill. If u want I will take a few pics of mine for u tomorrow.

remember not to tap the pan until you know where your drain line will be located. i did that mistake once and the drain hose was rubbing my downpipe.......

Good point, I kinda forgot about that part. Tyler, I'd wait until you can mock up your turbo before drilling anything.

can someone help me lol, i bought my civic and guy who had it already swapped the motors. he said it was built around turbo. when i got it home theres a little hose coming out at the bottom of the motor then is tied off? im wondering if it could be for the turbo for the new oil line. will someone help me and maybe get a pic of were is supposed to be

If the line you're referring to comes directly off the front of the Oil Pan, it's the old oil drain from the turbo. I suggest getting a plug for that hole.
