All,
Have a 1999 Civic EX. Hole in exhaust pipe. It's the pipe that's in-between the two mufflers. Or, I assume that there are 2 mufflers. There's the converter, a pipe, a muffler-looking-thing, a longer pipe (which has the hole), and then the muffler at the rear of the car.
I was wondering:
1) Is it possible to replace just this pipe?
2) Is this a do-it-yourself job, or is specialized equipment required?
3) Are there stainless exhaust systems out there that are essentially stock replacements? By that, I mean that I'd want something more or less OEM, and very quiet, NOT a "performance" system that makes things loud, etc.
Advice?
Thanks!
