Hey! I have a few questions about my seats in my Honda Civic 2002 EX:

1. The driver side seat jiggles back and forth even though it locks. I have tried to remove the seat, but i don't know how or what to do about it. Any sujestions??

2. What are the cables under the driver seat for?

Thank you everyone!

1. try lifting up your floormats, they are probably only held in by 4 bolts.

2. seat belt sensor

This happened to my seat as well, after a while I got uneasy about the seat if I ever got in an accident so I replaced it. I got a racing seat, but over the winter I'm putting in a roll bar so I have that much more safety.

Ohh! So i just have to take out the 4 screws. I got it.... what's that seat sensor you talk about? what is it for? what about my "rocking" problem? is there a way to fix it? do i have to adjust something?

Thank you buddy!

the seat belt sensor is for the "idiot light" in your dash that tells you to buckle up.

I can't say what you will have to do to fix your seats, since I don't really know what's wrong. But you can check if the bolts are loose. they should be torqued down REALLY well.

Thank you very much for your help guys!

The problem is that the seat locks, but when you sit down it literally rocks back and forth. It is a slight rocking movement, though, it is kinda annoying. I would say it is just an inclination of a few degrees. Any sujestions????? (The seat is in optimal conditions and clean)

What up brother. Hey, the only thing I did was.... NOTHING! I just decided to leave that the way it is. I tried to pull the darn seat outand also tried to adjust it, but my skinny, weak fingers did help much. I just thought "what the heck, I will spend more time fixing other stuff." The seat problem is not too much of a problem. Capicci? At least for me.

I hope this helps my friend!

...and here I am a year and a half later, my seat rocks back and forth very slightly too. Will check the bolts. If they are tight, then it will stay that way!
