Autocross and Road Course Racing - Roebling Raceway

Well, Friday I will be going to the Roebling Raceway to RACE! I am not going to be on a drag strip. No, its not autocross. Its actually a fuggin track! A REAL race track! This is going to be nuts. I will be getting tons of pics and hopefully some videos.
The organisation is called 'Seat Time'. It enables newbies and pros to sit down and teach how to race and learn. I will be in the newbie class. I might not really be racing with a ton of other cars but I will have an instructor ( a good friend who races Porches and Subies) to be with me on the track to myself.
Here is the track to check out: http://www.roeblingroad.com/

nice remmy. ya ur gena need new brakes and prolly new tires afterwords lol...i plan on doing the same thing next year(not 18 yet). at the track near me, u can volunteer to be a flag man or some kinda worker for a weekend, u work saturday and sunday. if you work 2 weekends(4 days) u get 2 days to run ur own car on the track for free. usually it cost about $300 just to run ur car for a day, running 2 days for free is hella awesome:D i kno im gena be doing that alot next year. anyways good luck and dont screw up to badly haha[8D]

how much do they charge there for track time? i assume this isnt wheel to wheel racing right? anyone else interested in getting on a real track check out nasaracing (http://www.nasaracing.net/) and for more info on volunteering(for mid-atlantic region) check out work events (http://www.nasaracing.net/work_event.htm).

Yea, ive already planned on that. Well, I passed the certification test tonight. The brakes were checked and bled. I also replaced the PCV valve (I FINALLY F'ING FOUND IT!) and ramdom this and thats.
The car had crazy ass wheel locks and we had to go to 4 different places to find a key. Well, th key came with a new set that didnt go on the car anyway so we had to use the old questionable wheel locks.

I just got back! It was unbelievably awesome!!!!!!!! Ive never had a better time in my life. I found my Si was more capable than I thought it was. However, I still had bone stock crx's with crazy suspensions out doing me. When people say suspension is everything, they are right! But once the straightaway would come along .....<zing!> The fastest I did was 121. Not too bad. I was the 2nd fastest civic there. The fastest was a stripped coupe with a k20 (see pics). There was also something VERY special there, a RWD integra! It was nuts! It had an h22 in it. I didnt race with the guy nor the k20 but it would have been fun.
I just need to get a new suspension. My friend (who was my instructor) is a dealer for H&R suspension systems. Hes also going to help me out with Frozen slotted rotors.

nice man sounds like u had a great time. was it wheel to wheel or time attack?
Dont know how i missed this thread.
Looks like you had a blast! I am major jealous.
So is that a rear engine integra then? I wouldnt think that would handle very good.

Ya it is. I think it lives on Honda Tech. There were also tons of other awesome cars. I had an srt viper with me on the track. Other cars were: Lotus Elise, Lotus Super 7, C5's/C6's, Alfa Romeo, Shelby Cobra Roadster, 4 door M3's, Porsches out the yin yang and some S2k's. Oddly, no subies or evos.

When people say suspension is everything, they are right!for real, good suspension makes your car faster... I never realized how true that was until this week. If you plan on doing this again, I'd recommend something like the setup I have now (I'll be posting a real review after the autocross on Sunday)

So how did that integra perform?? wonder how much customising the guy had to do.

He basically re-engineered the entire car. He didnt hit the track on my day. I was under SCCA. He was under NASA. So he arrived at the end of the day and was teched. Its the last I saw of the car.
