I'm not sure whether or not the 96-98's are the same as the 99-00's, but I've been meaning to do this DIY for a long time, so, here goes...


Start by removing the grey clips on top of the bumper/grille

Remove the bolts on the underside of the front bumper holding it to the water gaurd. There should be two screws and a couple clips if I remember correctly.

Then there are two stubborn little screws in the wheel wells (pictured below). There is one in each wheel well holding the back of the front bumper in place. Remove these screws.

In this image I am pointing at where the screw sits inside the well; it sits up in that little hole you see directly in front of my finger

Completely pull the front bumper cover off the car, and remove the screws holding the bottom of the grille to the front bumper cover as shown below.

Pop in the new grille, work backwards through these steps for re-assembly, and you're good to go. Finished product pictured below..
