Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I need to know.
I have a Civic DX '94 edition with a D15B7 @ 102 hp with stock parts.
Now my engine is not stock but I have only modded the throttle body, intake, exhaust, and spark wires and plugs. Sure it is pretty peppy on the road but I was interested in the D15B w/ VTEC and 130hp.
First question is, and yes it may be stupid, but will the D15B replace the current engine I have just by direct bolt-in or will I need to put in extras in order for this engine to work in my current car? I know this might be a dumb question because they are both D15 size engines BUT they are from two different markets in the world and I don't know if I need a new ECU, wiring harness, mounts, or anything else I am not thinking of. Its a good increase in horsepower and I saw an engine for sale with low mileage locally and my engine is blown, repairable but blown, and now I am considering a new/used engine instead of rebuilding the block. The block is getting incredibly high in mileage and I think its best to get a not so worn engine. ANY help is very much appreciated!
