Appearance - carbon fiber

anybody know where i can get a good deal on carbon fiber hoods?...and do they make cf trunks for civics? cuz i havent found any.

there is thread somewhere here with cf hoods ill try to find it. as far as cf trunks never really heard of them. if so it would be custom work and not cheap by any means

yes, they do make carbon fiber trunks, fenders, doors and the usual lips,hoods, wings, valve covers, almost anything you can think of. Theres different brands out there. Do a google search.

eBay has trunks from time to time. I know for sure you can get a CF unit for a 96-00 Coupe.

We have an awesome carbon fibre place out here that does everything, including rear bars and trunks etc... Custom carbon atVirginia in queensland...
Go to www.customcarbon.com and ask for Jase. He does export the gear as far as I know.

i can only imagin the s/h costs on a hood from the land down under to the states. cost over $100 usd for a hood shipped from detroit area to chicago area

[:'(] Yeah I can imagine it wouldn't be an attractive prospect... only thing is, I know the owner Jase pretty well, so it would be easy for me to put into his ear that a discount for civforum.com members wouldn't be out of the question. Also, considering the difference between the Australian and American dollar you would probably be saving already a heap that would go towards the shipping. Jase does pretty much everything custom, there is an R33 getting around over here that has rear guards, rear bar, hood, trunk and front bar all moulded by Jase.... It's an idea...

vis racing sells awesome hoods nice and strong and actually wraps around the corners to the under side of the hood.....they are a little more money but worth it i have seen carbon hoods that flap around in the wind........

They're probably one of the best out there right now. I was about to buy one two days ago.
