I am highly thinking about painting the stock side skirt on my 00 civic EX its the only other part that is black on my car. now I was told if I have them paint them the color code of the car, its not goin to match and it will be alot brighter and shinneir than my body, my car only has 30,000 miles on it do you think this is a big deal, would you be able to tell a tremenduos diference and be like o crap look at his side skirt its so much greener than the rest of his car. Or do you think I should go for it. its only 75 bucks, and how hard is it to take those side peices off.

hell no. I got my mirrors sprayed at 61,000 miles, and I dont see a differnce at all. Besides, I dont know of a paint shop that orders factory paint from the dealer... generally a good shop mixes it themselves

first off. who told you that it wouldnt look right? was it a shop or one of your friends saying it? if it is done right it will look just like the rest of your car. any decent shop can do it with a factory finish, just dont go to macco or fact-o-bake. go to a privatly owned shop and they will do it right.

Yea i got a price from macco and they said it would not match so I am looking at some custom paint places to get a quate, and also for my rims, I am sandblasting then polishing out and painting gloss black and the 7 spokes are goin to be the factory clover green. its goin to be sweet I think. How much yall think it cost to get for rims painted right.

Dude! They are trying to f*** ya hard core. Mine is only a year off from yours. How would it look different? Before you do anything have your car professionally rebuffed and waxed, it will bring your paint job back if its that bad.

I guess while i am at it i should get the couple spot I have on my door fixed, they are little pennie size dents that had stratches but I tried getting them out with rubbing compound not a good idea DAD, Do you think they can buff those out. I should have known better he once said never use a steel wool pad on a paint job then he tried buffing part of my mom's 67 camaro SS, she was very pissed off. But no the paint is shiny I am trying to get a pic up, I scaned some but this web site would not except them.

You should powder coat them. It shoudn't be that expensive.
The rims on the Si powder coated red

See I am not goin to do anythin till I really decide, I might just spray paint them green and black to test it out with them sitting beside the car, then sand blast them and and either paint them all black with polished lip or the green spokes and black everything else. I wont do powder coat if it cost almost as much as new rims, I already put 100 into buying the 4. plus I have to buy tires which will run me 250 fokr 205/40, R17, I got a paint booth I can use I probably just do that.

powder coating is cheap. a lot cheaper than painting and they will do all of the blasting for you. i do my own powder coating but i needed something bigger than i can do done and it was really cheap and i offered to blast it for them and they said it really wouldnt effect the cost cause they always do it.
