Inside and Out - shift knob and shift bootView Full Version : shift knob and shift boot mybrokenblinker 10-24-2006, 06:58 AM hey guys, just finished installing a new shift knob and boot, ill get pictures up when i have time. Forty04 10-24-2006, 08:56 AM Tits, what kind did you go with? mybrokenblinker 10-24-2006, 03:37 PM the boot was a black suede leather (went with it cuz it was cheaper but it honestly looks nicer) and a dc sports style black chrome shift knob which goes rather well with my black paint job. I was worried about it looking flashy or ricey, but it looks pretty modest while still looking good. Ill get pics up whenever my dad gets back in town so i can use his camera. mybrokenblinker 10-29-2006, 06:08 PM http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3/mybrokenblinker/untitled-1.jpg P.S. I know i need to vaccum. But the combo doesn't look bad considering I spent 20 bucks on the boot and knob. Fiirkan 10-29-2006, 07:59 PM not too huge on the boot but the knob looks [sm=smiley20.gif], i remember back when i didn't know anybetter, i bought a ractive boot and shift knob for 50 bucks... had the boot on for two weeks, and the knob on for about 3 months then took them off and went back to OEM Toyota[8D] mill$civic 10-29-2006, 08:18 PM $20 ..cant go wrong, sweet buy! mybrokenblinker 10-29-2006, 09:54 PM ORIGINAL: Fiirkan not too huge on the boot but the knob looks [sm=smiley20.gif], i remember back when i didn't know anybetter, i bought a ractive boot and shift knob for 50 bucks... had the boot on for two weeks, and the knob on for about 3 months then took them off and went back to OEM Toyota[8D] Hey man, not getting mad just wondering, why don't you like the boot? Thanks for the comments Unfortunately i dont have pics the boot just reminds me of the one i bought for my old car. it was one of those ****ty ones that you just tie over the one you have. you know the wallmart kinda deal. and i personally like the look of the leather ones. i am more of an OEM look kinda guy. but for $20 i agree it is worth it man mybrokenblinker 10-30-2006, 10:27 PM This one doesnt go over the one I had...It's a suede type leather thing. It feels nice. But thanks for the input 99civicricer 10-30-2006, 10:29 PM i think it looks pretty nice my friend has that same shift knob and i am thinking of buying that boot but in leather. |
