How to AMP stock 97 civic ex head unit
Is it possible to add an amp to the stock civic(97)EX stereo? I did not remove any panels or face plates yet. I thought I'd research it a bit before I waste any time. Do those stock head units have any out put on the back?(RCA Type) If I can How do I get at the thing. Looks like an easy panel to break around that stereo. All help appreciated Thanks Toby[

no they dont, yo uahve to get an fm transmitter , ( think thats the name ) and get a professional to hook it up then u can plug the rca's into their, i would recomend spending the money on a proper deck, the sound quality is sooooooo much better, plus you can adjust the subwoofer output and basss so you can turn it down and let the amp push all the bass not your deck. spend the goood money on it buddy, trust me the sound quality will be worth it, oh and it will looook a lot better
well he is talken about adding a amplifier to it... you can BUT upgrading the radio to a nice unit is so much beter sound and jsut cooler
then ya have all the outputs and inputs ya want depending on the radio and model you buy what all it can do
BUT if you realy do wanna keep your factory radio and put in a subwoofer amplifier you can by just taping into your rear speaker wires on the back deck and use a RCA converter

yeah, an aftermarket radio would make things so much better, but some people prefer to keep the looks of the factory radio. if you're wanting to keep the factory look you need a line level converter line level converter like that for example. they're easy to hookup if you have some basic 12v knowledge
