G'day i've got a 92 Civic Si.

There is an electrical problem of some description.
When the ignition is turned off the time is reset everytime. When the ignition is on, the clock isn't, unless i press the button to the right of the "reset" button. When i press this button it turns on and is visible untill i let go of the button.

Any ideas?

thanks
Rohan

hmm. If it were me id check the fuses. It may be runnin off a back up fuse or something. IF that fails try takin the negitive terminal off ur car and leave it for 10 or 15 mins to let the ECU reset. Those 2 ideas combined should do it. If problem persists just re post.

Yeh I've had a go of both of those ideas. No luck. I met a guy who has an 89 accord today who has had a similar problem. He said there is a solinoid behind the clock which probably needs resoldering. I'll give it ago when i've got a chance and tell you how i go. Thanks

tru well if that doesnt work im sure u can pick up a new clock on ebay for a few bucks.......or just hit up the local junk yard and see if theyve got em. Its a pretty small item so it should be free dollars and ninty nine cents.:D
