Every time I see one it says a little of this and a little of that. What is the pony increase with these things? Roost3r 02-28-2005, 06:57 PM more hype then its worth. I knew a kid that put it on his lude and it really didnt to much. fast93civic 03-08-2005, 09:36 PM I got one of these venom400, and it will go on this spring. I think it will make some noticible difference, and Im sure it will other wise it wouldn't cost some $300. Once I get it hooked up, I will post on results. Andrey Roost3r 03-10-2005, 09:15 AM good call. It could very possibly have a better effect on one car then another but im not sure Remmy 03-10-2005, 11:38 AM ive looked every where for some pony quotes on this Venom thing. And I cant find em. No one can answer that still. Screw you guys, im going home Roost3r 03-10-2005, 11:52 AM "fuk you fat ass" Remmy 03-10-2005, 11:56 AM "im big boned GODdamnitt!!!!!" fast93civic 03-10-2005, 12:04 PM Venom makes your transaxles if auto, more aggressive. You hammer the pedal down, it will down**** to lowest possible gear and stay there till red line. It gets rid of delay in timing, while downshifting. Also, it's claimed that it makes your fuel maps more aggressive. I heard more negative opinions on this than positive. I will find out in a few weeks my self. Andrey Remmy 03-10-2005, 12:15 PM That sounds really great... but, wont that ultimatly kill your auto tranny? But the concept sounds really good... many time that damn auto iun my car wont downs shift right or it will down shift funny in a lower rpm and its a royal pain. Roost3r 03-10-2005, 01:22 PM my dude has a stock 3k gt and beat a lude that had venom fast93civic 03-10-2005, 02:44 PM congrads Remmy 03-10-2005, 03:56 PM so it basically in a nut shell tells the ecu to do things on a performance basis fast93civic 03-10-2005, 05:16 PM yea pretty much, it has an off on switch when not used. Also, the micro controller inside the module, detects and sences when the performance is needed, so when you drive normal like 25% throttle, it doesn't do any thing. But over 25% it gives you what it claims. civicxaz 04-02-2005, 09:57 AM so is it really needed if you drvie a 5 speed, i mean i know the 25 % thing but is that really worth it if you already have mods, like will it add on to the mods, or does it only add onto stock sacicons 04-02-2005, 01:51 PM honestly, learn to do your own tranny swaps, and who cares if it kills your auto tranny? you can find sohc autos for pennies all day long. just keep an eye out for them and pick up an extra or two, then when you break one, you just put a new one in. ineedhp 04-02-2005, 04:27 PM a good friend of mine put a venom mod in his 2 gen eclipse and we took it out and it didn't do anything really noticable except burn more fuel than needed. if it works for you, let me know. the only one i seen was for an eclipse. if it works, i might get one for my ek. keep us posted. fast93civic 04-02-2005, 11:23 PM Sacicons, I like your thinking. Some say the more mods you have the more it will help, some say it won't do nothin, just like stated above. Id say if I had $300 to bang, I would rather get a intake manifold instead of the venom. If it costs $300 it really makes me wanna believe that it will do something. But yea, once I get it on I will post on the results. fast93civic 04-02-2005, 11:25 PM oh and civicxaz, man if I had $300 I would definetily get some thing else instead of venom, even though I have it now, not put on yet, I've heard a lot of people saying it won't do much at all. Get your self a bigger throttle body or somethin. |
