Default intake installation

i have a 94 civic dx coupe 2 door. it has a aftermarket muffler and sounds real good and everything. and a short throw shifter in it. but i was wondering if a air intake would help the car out alot? would it make it sound better, have better acceleration, or what?

where should i get one?
how do i install one? do i just take off the whole old air intake and box, or do i have to put some other stuff on it to?

please just inform me..........

thanks guys

it's a tube with an exposed filter. buy whichever brand you want, because they all have roughly equal performance.

as for teh rest of the questions, a search may be in order because this topic has been beat like a dead horse...

buy whatever you want, because they're all pretty much equal.

unless you get something like a Mugen or Comptech icebox...

its not to hard to install, i installed a short ram intake on my friends lancer, its practically the same, but their all practically equal just make sure if u do go with an ebay intake u get a brand name filter cause my friend had a bs filter on his mr2 and it melted
