Autocross and Road Course Racing - autox pics from saturday

saturdays race was awesome! alot of fun and were glad to have Randy Jordan on the team now. it was extremely cold and windy(saw an isicle form from an exhaust of an sti haha) but still worth it. RDR made it out there with 6 members strong. i had some great runs, well...minus my first one. first run i went out a lil to strong, nailed a cone and it cracked my front bumper on the passenger side. on any other warm day it wouldnt have been a big deal, prolly not even a scratch, but since it was soo windy they double stacked the cones and it was so cold that the cones became a hardened so ya[:@] . o well i dont really care all that much, i can still race and thats all i care about lol.anyways, i got some pics from a couple heats. obviously i couldnt get pics of myself or the other RDR members cuz they were all running the same heat as me. another guy took some pics of us tho so its all good.

the guy who owns the WRX got 1st outa 4 in STX. the co-driver got 2ndouta 12 in Novice class. i got 4th outa 12 in STS, just .075 sec from 3rd.. red SI got 5th in STS. white civic got 8th in STS. and the black SI got 9th in STS.

Man that whit ej1 looked like it was gonna roll... that was a crazy amount of body roll... samn goes for the wrx.

the region im racing with is the only one doing winter races around here lol. it was about 30 degrees with winds up to 50mph so it was maad cold. i had 2 shirts on, a hoodie, and a big Columbia winter jacket on and was still cold haha. still so damn worth it tho:D

the guy with the M coupe was actually the one who took the pics ofmy team. i believe it was his first time racing the M, his best was a 64.008(mine was a 64.009). haha its snowing right now, snowed just a couple days ago too lol. alot of the miata ppl put their tops down just before the race, even when it rains..apparently it makes for quicker times. the white ej is lowered but i dont remember what suspension, ill ask next time i see him.

oops my bad...i was talkin about the purple one....at quick glimpse it looked like a 360 Modena to me, the yellow badge further convinced me lol but good call, at closer inspection its not a ferrari...ive never seen that car b4, who makes an elise?

how hard is that on your tires?

its kinda rough...most ppl go thru a set of tires a year,depending on how many races u attend and what kind of tires. most ppl will run the tires untill they see wires, im getting real close with my current ones. im getting hooked up with Falken Azenis RT-615's for about $50 cheaper than vulcantire.com(which is the cheapest i believe) from a local shop:D

depends on a lot of things, your tires, tire pressure, your alignment, and your skillZ of course.

I went a full season on USED Azenis and they still have plenty of tread left.

^Exactly. At the driving school thing I went to we spent 2 or 3 hours on "tire usage" and it was very beneficial knowledge to attain.
