General Civic Talk - Who would win

I have a 2000 ex coupe 5 spd as seen in my sig and my mom has a 2000 accord v6 ex. I have a D16Y8 and She has a J30A1. I think she will win cause her engine pumps out 220 hp and 200 lbs of tourque. But she is heavier (car) not person lol. Anyways who would win. Her engine used to feel fast but I think I get off the line faster being so light of a car. PLease reply.

yeah, i was running my b16 against v6 accords and i won some and lost some, so a SOHC thats pretty stock would get smoked.

How does my mom's car rate with other cars like eclipes and the b series engines. I am pretty sure that if I put i/h/e and took all the seats and just put in one racing seat, and lightened that sucker up I could fly with the best of them. UNfortunetly she is letting the hp go to waste. maybe i will race her the first to 30 mph in which case I win. BTW her auto tranny is da bomb it goes past redline on the shifts when floored and go 45 in 1st. It is definetly fast or at least quick.

it will probably take a few cars out there in a straight line, as long as they are stock. what people have to realize on a car like an eclipse, is that an intake gives almost 30 horses to the wheels. damn stock turbos....

No, I am not even going to race her. It was just a what if in my mind.

Dont know much about your civ but i reckon in a long straight line she'd wipe the floor clean with you...on the other hand if you were say on the twistys with short straights tight corners i think youd give her her moneys worth(depending on how good of a driver you and your mum are);)

listen to the people man, u'd loose. race though, it will be fun. i raced my mom b4, she has a ML350. i won, she said she slowed down cuz she didnt want me to get in another accident. it was fun though, funny as hell too.
