Kedawei 02-10-2007, 07:15 PM And what gear? hondad16 02-10-2007, 08:11 PM my bad... a 97 honda civic ex d16y8. through each gear aryiman98civic 02-10-2007, 09:53 PM 3500-4000 rpm thats a very educated guess. hondad16 02-10-2007, 11:31 PM thanks a lot for the info Kedawei 02-10-2007, 11:33 PM ^ That sounds accurate for third gear. It will vary in the others. Really couldn't tell you how much though. johnny 02-11-2007, 10:21 AM Yeah that's a bigger turbo so the spool will arrive around 4k. If you wanted a quicker spool a T25 turbo would be a smaller turbo but quicker spool. As close as 2500RPM hondad16 02-11-2007, 12:48 PM how about the garrett t28r? i want to be between 220-260hp and i dont know whether to get a quick spooling turbo or a turbo that spools at higher rpms? I am goign to have forged pistons, rods, and valve. Can any give me a little help and some options? Kedawei 02-11-2007, 08:13 PM GT28RS would be a great turbo for you. hondad16 02-12-2007, 01:38 PM thanks for the advice kedawei SovXietday 02-12-2007, 05:39 PM Just the GT28R would be fine, the RS is a bit overkill for his goals. That's of course if you feel like spending a thousand bucks on just the turbo. hondad16 02-12-2007, 06:55 PM yeah i think i am going to go with the t28r. thanks for the info. Kedawei 02-12-2007, 10:29 PM Spool will be the same and you'll make more power everywhere with the RS, but yes the R is cheaper by $200 or so. hondad16 02-12-2007, 10:46 PM hmm. so the rs is prolly the better deal for only 200 more? |
