Nitrous, Super Chargers, & Turbos - t3/t04 question

a t3/t04 with ana/r .48 . about what rpm will it start to spool and what rpm will full spool be?

What motor/car?

And what gear?

my bad... a 97 honda civic ex d16y8. through each gear

3500-4000 rpm thats a very educated guess.

^ That sounds accurate for third gear. It will vary in the others. Really couldn't tell you how much though.

Yeah that's a bigger turbo so the spool will arrive around 4k. If you wanted a quicker spool a T25 turbo would be a smaller turbo but quicker spool. As close as 2500RPM

how about the garrett t28r? i want to be between 220-260hp and i dont know whether to get a quick spooling turbo or a turbo that spools at higher rpms? I am goign to have forged pistons, rods, and valve. Can any give me a little help and some options?

GT28RS would be a great turbo for you.

Just the GT28R would be fine, the RS is a bit overkill for his goals. That's of course if you feel like spending a thousand bucks on just the turbo.

Spool will be the same and you'll make more power everywhere with the RS, but yes the R is cheaper by $200 or so.

hmm. so the rs is prolly the better deal for only 200 more?
