HybridGarage 02-22-2007, 08:54 AM If they are stock pistons and rods, Yes thay need to be pressed If they are aftermarket thay have a flouting pin and you can do it your self. stylincompact 02-22-2007, 09:00 AM vitara pistons and eagle rods FlipHKD720 02-22-2007, 01:37 PM those seem to be aftermarket, so you should just be able to use the pin riceburner700 02-22-2007, 10:34 PM try and slide the wrist pin through the piston and into the rod, if it doesnt slid in then take them to a matchin shop and have them pressed in. cpl rampage 02-23-2007, 08:57 AM thoes are fully floating pins, so u can put them together ur self, all u need is a clip ring compressor riceburner700 02-23-2007, 09:15 AM there should be a little indent that you put half the clip in on the oppisite side were its suppost to be and just push the clip in were the indent is with like a punch by hand or like a flat tip screw driver. cpl rampage 02-23-2007, 12:44 PM ORIGINAL: riceburner700 there should be a little indent that you put half the clip in on the oppisite side were its suppost to be and just push the clip in were the indent is with like a punch by hand or like a flat tip screw driver. thats true, but then you could also risk gouging the metal, and then making an edge that will wear on the cylinder walls, i would sugest spending 10 bux and getting a clip ring remover/installer |
