Hear me on this, and hear me well. She was NEVER punk rock. The Golden Girls were more punk rock than Avril ever wished she could be. Punk girls don't wear make-up. They smell bad, they get in fist fights. They dont wash their hair, they have two pairs of shoes, Boots and beat up Boots. And I love them all, so trust me. Avril has never and will never be punk.
