The Lounge - Vodka mixed with what? to make a good drink

Ok, what can I mix with vodka that takes the taste of it down and actually tastes good. We used to drink vodka and coke and the taste of the vodka is WAY overpowering for me. So what else can I mix with the vodka?

GO buy some 7up, sweet and sour mix and OJ. Then do 1-2 oz of vodka then fill the cup up with 1/3 of each. Straight OJ works good to for a nice screwdriver. I went to bartending school lol

damnit! Vodka + NOTHING! Don't spoil the best beverage ever.

I prefer straight shots of jim beam myself. Vodka is only good if you spend the money on it.

mountain dew and vodka....good drink or red bull and vodka....you'll be wired and drunk.

Ya i was thinking vodka and orange juice/7up or mounted dew one of them. Mabey ill just pick up all 3 and give it a try. Pick up a red bull too.

I cant do strate vodka[:'(], I did vodka and beer...I got really sick after that.( I didnt really no what I was mixing at the time lol)

As a heavy member of the wasp class prep society (Tony and Pete can vouch) I have drank many-a-vodka drinks in my day. The best mixer I have found is actually an awesome all around breakfast juice called 'Five-o-Live'. Citrus and vodka go very well together. Fiveolive is a cobination of numerous citrus fruits and combined with alkeehaul will lead to good times... or will lead you into a bed with your buddies ugly ass girl.

If you cant get it, then grab some ole OJ, its does the trick too.

Also, mountain dew and gatorrade are good mixers because they take the voka straight to your head.

Before running out and grabbing mixers, please make sure your vodka was AT THE LEAST $13USD a bottle.

my girlfrind likesvodka with cranberry juice or sprite. I like sailor jerry rum 92 proof with ginger alemyself. Thats stuff is strong, but not as strong as bacardi 151....that stuff is like rubbing alcohol. You could prolly do ginger ale with vodka too, that stuff is a great neutralizer.

Just get a good vodka, mill ;)

Who says you have to mix it with a non alcoholic beverage. Get a bottle of peach Andre and mix it, and get schwasted!... The night I did that I woke up outside with out a shoe and had to get a ride home from some guy at a gas station! Needless to say, it was a good night.

both of those would probably be the best bet for a good vodka mix IMO! REDBULL AND VODKA FTW!


Add note: Redbull and vodka will totally f**k you up if you take too many... it creeps up on ya, but they're the best:D

Vodka and tonic with a splash of cran juice and lime juice. (good for girls) I myself Love bloody marys. You can not taste the vodka at all, so theyre great for getting hammered before noon. Make some jungle juice and youll be good. Take some hawiian punch and a bag of mixed fruit........slice up some watermelon and put that stuff all together in a big pitcher. Add a bottle of the cheapest nastiest vodka to it. Add some sugar if you want. Drink up. Then again, what the hell do I know about drinking? Im only the, eh nevermind.

well, i personally like to chill the vodka for a few days, and then mix it with coke/pepsi/etc. but, i've found that if you get skyy vanilla, or even smirnoff vanilla, and mix it with coke/pepsi, it's fantastic. it tastes just like vanilla coke, and goes down smooth. BUT. it will creep up on you at first, and hit you like a mack truck doing 140.

This thread is amazing... I dont know what vodka tastes like! I've actually never even drank before... But you guys sure know how to mix drinks, that is cool. You're all like little alcoholic chefs! hahaha

I ususally drink vodka and orange juice if I'm doing a vodka mixer. Screwdriver ftw... but I'm a whiskey man myself.





BUT I also found that it goes good with redbull and lemonade mixed together.


ALSO... cream soda... Yes, I said cream soda. Try it... you gotta mix it right though, try the mix and sip method to get it tasting good.

JUNGLE JUICE IMO...its by far the best combo for vodka...and if you get hungry just eat the fruit and get more f'ed up

^He's got a good point. I've had some great jungle juice parties... but there was more than just vodka in it.

Be a man and drink it straight. That is no reason to mess up a good Vodka by mixing it with something. LOL

Vodka and Red Bull = excellent club drink
Vodka and OJ = excellent house party drink

Does it have to be Vodka, or are you open to alternatives? I knowof a few rum drinks that are straight up dangerous, due to how much acohol is in them, and how little you can actually taste

decent vodka drinks

side note, vodka & cranberry juice = cape codder

vodka & grapefruit juice = greyhound (and quite tasty)

vodka, cointreau, cranberry & splash of lime = cosmopolitan

vodka, kahlua & milk = white russian variation

vodka & redbull are actually a horribly bad combination for your body, so I'd steer clear of those

vodka, ice, splash of vermouth (shaken over ice) = martini



good tequila drinks:

tequila, cointreau, lime, splash of oj, splash of redbull = decent margarita

tequila, oj, grenadine = tequila sunrise

tequila, grapefruit & grenadine = tequila sunset

good rum drinks:

captains & coke = rum & coke

captains & rootbeer = rumberg

rum, kahlua & milk = white russian variation



there's only one good gin drink in my mind, being the good ole

gin & tonic

or the gangsta variation

gin & ghetto punch


there's also the favorite trash can punch:

get yourself a huge trashcan

1 gallon grain alcohol
1 liter 151
1 handle vodka
1 handle gin
1 handle clear rum
10-15 gallons fruit punch

mix in trash can...
add ice

done

No man. A cement mixer is a shot of Baileys Irish Creme and a shot of lime juice. I know, I play it on my friends all the time.

I personally do Vodka and the Sobe Energy drinks (usually the yellow citrus one).. and if that isn't available it is citrus vodka and sprite with a lemon in it. I feel a pattern here, vodka + citrus = tasty if you ask me! :D

If on an odd day I want to get really sh*tfaced, Jungle Juice is the way to go. I usually do Devil Springs vodka (180proof vodka at around $20/liter) with fruit punch and mix in some oranges, apples, whatever looks good at that time.. and if I am really bored, throw in some rum/beer/anything that's lying around. Usually end up playing beer pong with it.. those were the days!

White russians are good. Besides "The Dude" drinks them.
