okay, so im still looking into the cat back system, but my dad seems to think that al i need is a high flow muffler. does anyone know what the difference preformance wise would be, and if i was moding my car down the road, (header etc.) would there be a downside to just getting the highfolw muffler.

If you are going to do anything do it all the way. A muffler will just make noise. It won't improve performance. Get a eBay catback. You'll get the noise and the performance. PLUS, it will be just about the same price to do!!!!

muffler = noise/no performance gain
cat-back = good noise/ better flow less restriction which = HP

 

get the cat back, a muffler will make it sound like crap, a nice catback system will make your sweet little ride sound nice and purty!plus HP gains......

 

i just got a fart pipe, and my car is slugish... sounds good tho! go for the cat-back. i'm looking into a megan header and cat-back

if your gonna go with just a muffler, go with a twin loop, no HP gains (to my knowledge) but it does make a great deep tone if thtas all ur lookin for....
