Header, Intake, & Exhaust - Muffler on stock pipingView Full Version : Muffler on stock piping my05civic 04-09-2007, 11:47 PM does anyone have a clip of this? my05civic 04-09-2007, 11:58 PM http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000CCFJ5W/ref=ord_cart_shr/103-2390562-5225438?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance is this too much for a Magnaflow muffler? is there something better i could get for a reasonable price? invinceable210 04-10-2007, 12:27 AM oh damn! Thats cheap dude Forty04 04-10-2007, 08:28 AM Just save your money and get a cat-back man, that's going to sound like ass. danomatic93 04-10-2007, 08:49 AM ^+1 catback ftw! FlipHKD720 04-10-2007, 08:57 AM ^ +2! although if you're going custom, thats a really good price and i would say go for it. my05civic 04-10-2007, 09:21 AM opinions on hks axleback? danomatic93 04-10-2007, 09:35 AM errrr, catback ftw. You can go name brand but I have had good luck on cheapo eBay catbacks (they're not made by eBay but they are "generic" on eBay). I have a Tsudo on my civic right now. FlipHKD720 04-10-2007, 10:23 AM still catback man, just save the extra little bit of money and get the catback over the axleback, you definitely wont regret it with ebay, danomatic has had real good luck, and other people have had bad luck. Its a risk getting any generic/ebay cheapo exhaust components, but sometimes you get lucky nad they're not THAT bad. If you dont wanna take the risk though, get a name brand Forty04 04-10-2007, 11:38 AM ORIGINAL: my05civic opinions on hks axleback? still dumb, save your money for a cat-back my05civic 04-10-2007, 12:50 PM i know this goes against what EVERYONE is saying, but i went ahead and just bought the magnaflow muffler i listed ^^^^. for me, i don't expect to get a lot of performance from my civic. it is after all, just my daily driver. i simply wanted sound.... Forty04 04-10-2007, 02:22 PM [:@] R35P3KT 04-10-2007, 03:12 PM twin loop muffler on stock piping FTW....does not sound like sh!!t at all...............sounds better than some of the catbacks i heard on here. You will not regret it FlipHKD720 04-10-2007, 03:45 PM you're choice man, not what i would have done (haha atleast anymore), but in the long run maybe you could do custom catback, that way you'd already have a nice muffler. my05civic 04-10-2007, 04:33 PM it's what a poor man's gotta do lol. but really, i think i'll upgrade my piping and all that when i turbo (summer 07!!!) FlipHKD720 04-10-2007, 04:49 PM lol u better upgrade ur exhaust if you're boostin, but i guess going the custom route in the future leaves your possibilites open,if you wanna get N/Aget 2.25" piping and if you boost 2.5"/2.75" Mr Mobsta Man 04-10-2007, 10:07 PM lol thats funny, u say u don't expect a lot of power from for civic then you say your gonna turbo. [8D] 315 Customs 04-10-2007, 11:03 PM i got a N1 style muffler from eBay for like $45 shipped and took it to my local exhaust shop and had them run 2.25inch piping from cat back and use my muffler and it cost a total of $155 so thats a grand total of $200 for a real nice sounding exhaust(at least IMO) my05civic 04-13-2007, 06:12 PM i just got it installed today and it sounds amazing. no joke. Forty04 04-14-2007, 09:18 AM ORIGINAL: my05civic i just got it installed today and it sounds amazing. no joke. sound clip? my05civic 04-14-2007, 10:47 AM i'll try to do one tomorrow. today its raining like crazy |
