Autocross and Road Course Racing - race tomorrow!*pics and video!*

racing tomorrowwoot! Roto's racing too, so ill get to meet him for the first time. see how his Saab does haha. i havnt recived the magnets yet but w/e, its supposed to rain all day tomorrow[:@] so they prolly wouldnt stick anyways. damn weather, this will be the 3rd event in a row that i've had to deal with slick conditions. this time im running on the Azenis too, should be interesting...also just picked up a HJC helmet and a Shoei bag(which apparently is really nice?) for $90.

im running D aswell. just grab one of the loaner helmets and u'll be good. i highly suggest holding on to it untill were done racing since ppl will be wet and the loaners might be a bit nasty haha. i'll be arriving at the stadium a lil before 10.

Aberdeen, Maryland at Ripken Stadium.if anyone is near and wants to race, spots are open. online registration is closed but u can register and pay at the event.

looks like I'll be the only saab at the event. Look for the guy in a red 4-door saab in a blue/white saabracing jacket.

Roto, ill be getting there a lil before 10 prolly(depending on traffic). wont be to hard to miss me, RDR goes in together. just look for my car, blue wrx wagon, white civic, red civic si, and black s2000. we park together to so ya, shouldnt be to hard to find us..

I'll be there even earlier as I leave at 7....our section doesn't start till 12, but the morning section starts at like 10...

great meeting u Roto! i saw u leaving after the race, wish u would have stayed cuz i was gena ask if u wanted to get some Applebees with the team.haha man what a day...i had a great day race wise but damn was i pissed about the weather. didnt really dress up warm enough and froze my a$$ off. while working i couldnt move, or feel anything for that matter...i freakin LOVE the Azenis. i expected to be sliding everywhere but damn they grip a hell of a lot better dry/rain than the Kumho Supras i had before haha.

great meeting you too...I wish I wasn't with my friend, otherwise I would have hung out...he was just pissing me off... My car did really well for what it is, I just wish I didn't get lost in runs 2 and 3... relly cool of Alex from team WTF to lend me his helmet...

hahaha ya i saw their logo on the helmet and was wondering where u got it from. Alex is the main photographer for TeamWTF?! and is pretty cool. i sure hope they got some pics cuz i only got a couple from today..still uploading mine to the computer..

Trophy!! took 3rd place in STS:D. finally get a trophy...i've gotten 2nd and 3rd before in the winter series but they dont give out trophies in winter series events for some reason:(

i got red flaged on this run even tho the course worker didnt do such a great job of doing so..i heard some one yell at me and for a split second saw the guy with the red flag just walkin back to the station. i keept going, not 100%, but then slowed down more when i was getting too close to the scizzon.

re-run, fastest time for me even tho i hit the second to last cone at the end. came in a lil to hot for the finish and justslightly cliped the cone. i didnt even kno i hit it untill my friends told me.the guys u see standing and me going "woo" too is RDR. they said that i just cliped the flat part of the cone and i guess it was enough to send it out of the box[:@]

I'm gonna try to get into the PhillySCCA's race at boeing on the 29th....I hope I'll be able to get in. It's 5 minutes away from my work:))

its really not as bad as it looks...just about everyone goes off course their first time out, no biggie. if u dont want to go off course ur first time, really, and i mean really, pay attention when doing the coursewalk thru. maybe atleast 3 times to see how everything works, understand why certain cones are facing a certain direction, and def. take full advantage of the novice walk thrus. hell i did the novice walk thru today and it helped out a bit. also, if u get the chance, ride with someone before u do ur run. that way u'll get a feel of the course inside the car and at speed. it all just comes with time. i kno some ppl sometimes wont even do the course walk thru, they'll just go in blind and actually do very well. my friend walked like 1/4 of the course and said screw it cuz of the weather and he took 3rd place lol.

civicexracer. what kind of camera mount do you use? i want to make one... or buy one for cheap. but i dont even know where to start lookin.

i used my lil Canon Powershot SD400 digi cam with a 2 gig memory card. the quality is great straight from the camera but after editing its blows...i actually just bought a 3 suction cup camera mount so ill be able to get video from different areas of the car(roof, fender, interior, etc) and the quality should be better. i ordered it from www.soloperformance.com (http://www.soloperformance.com). just under $50 shipped, not that bad..
