I didn't want to hijack anyone else's threads so I made my own. Ok, first off I drive a 92 civic cx, its slow.
My D15B8 is absolutely terrible, so slow, no acceleration, but what do you want for 70hp I guess. I'm strongly considering getting a B16a swap into my car this summer. After the initial cost of the engine i'm looking at around 2000-2200 CDN + shipping.
That's:
Transmission
ECU
Distributor
Power Steering Pump
AC compressor
Alternator
Starter
Intake Manifold
Exhaust Manifold
Shifter-Linkage
(available)
Axels (available)
What i'm asking is how much should I be looking at for the install of the engine. I'm not too experienced yet this being my first car and don't want to get taken advantage of. I want to know what's a good deal.
So if anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

Here's a link to the engine

Have a friend or someone you know help you install it. Its better to help out and try to learn how to do it yourself. Plus its more fun than having a shop do it all for you.

I couldn't agree more, it's just I don't know much about swapping engines. I guess it's how you learn though eh.
If I go through with it I'm getting someone from a local forum to do it for me.
I may just do the mini-me swap and then for my next car I'll do the b16a swap then boost it.
Years away for the new car though, just got this one.
