I have a 2000 honda civic si, im trying to rebuild my engine with a b18 block with gsr internals and ctr cams. but i dont think my ecu can be chipped because it is a obd2. So suggestions on what to do, should i just like get an adaptor for the ecu if that works or a obd1 ecu?

Yes, you'll need to run a chipped ecu and OBD2b-OBD1 conversion harness. And, be sure to get it tuned:)

exactly what he said, because you cant tune an obd2... but you may want to hang on to the ecu for smog.....

chances are the ecu he's got now won't work on that engine anyway

im pretty sure the ecu that i have right now wont work because its an obd2, but im planning on getting a obd1, but im trying to make sure its worth it to rebuild my engine. Im buying the block off of someone i know, and he says it passes smog and has been state ref. Its a b18c block with gsr internals and ctr cams, I know its not extreme but it will get me around. Anyone know how much horse on average it will make?
