I'm lookin for a little more power... what would be the best bang for my buck without breaking the bank? ..im not lookin to throw in a turboor anything drastic, im just wanting something a little extra... ideas???

 

Start with letting your engine breath better. Maybe an aftermarket air intake. Cheap ones of ebay for $40 work good for the money.

 

you could also start off with a few more horsies then just an intake and start with a catback exhaust

 

i've already got an aftermarket air intake, and not long after i got my car (around 2 1/2 yrs ago) i threw a fart can on.. i just wish i sprung for full exhaust.. but i was young and stupid, we all learn.. haha. ive been lookin at full exhaust systems lately, any recommended brands or places to get them from? also any other ideas to add power?

 

Change your header. DC sports makes a good header and cat back. HKS Apex GReddy Magna Flow all make good cat backs too.

 

Megan Racing exhausts are great quality with a good sound for a good price.

 

ive been looking at headers for a while too.. wouldn't it be best to find one thats 4-1 and one piece.. instead of 4-2-1 and two pieces? ...i just think it would have better flow.. please correct me if im wrong..

 

for what you're up to, I don't think it'd really matter that much for you.

 

That is incorrect it does matter. A one and two peice header perform the same. The point of a two peice is to ease installtion. If you drive your car daily get a 4-2-1 they help spread the power out and help with low end torque. 4-1 design is for cars drivin close to redline alot, and they max out power in that area.

 

^ I was of the understanding that this was his DD. Thus, if he wants to spend the extra money on the 4-1 headers, he should go for it. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure he'd be fine running the 4-2-1's like a lot of other people on here do with not much of a difference between them and the more expensive 4-1 headers.

If I'm wrong and this is your track ***** or street beast, go with what he said above me. Otherwise, most everybody is happy with the less expensive 4-2-1.
